Scarce Earth launch event - April 27th

Experience the unique flavours of the McLaren Vale and a chance to win a 4WD Scarce Earth adventure with you and 5 friends!

Fully supported by Off Piste 4WD Tours, Scarce Earth is an initiative of the McLaren Vale wine region exploring and celebrating the geological climatic and soil diversity of the region. All wines come from a single block, a small plot of land with a unique flavour profile and personality.

Join us for a unique opportunity to taste the new release 2011 Vintage McLaren Vale Scarce Earth single vineyard Shiraz wines from 12:00 pm – 4pm at the beautiful grounds of the McLaren Vale & Fleurieu Visitor Centre on the 27th April 2013. Tickets are $25 and include all tastings, tasting notes, master classes and refreshments.

Scarce Earth involved wineries:

Battle of Bosworth, Chapel Hill, Coriole, Cradle of hills, d’Arenberg, Gemtree, Halifax, Hastwell & Lightfoot, Hugh Hamilton, Inkwell, Kangarilla Road, Mr. Riggs, Penny’s Hill, Sabella, Shingleback, Shirvington, Shottesbrooke & Wistmosa

This project gives wine lovers at all levels the opportunity to explore the influence of site and the chance to taste some of the region’s best Shiraz vineyards. A panel consisting of three local winemakers and three independent experts assess each wine to ensure that site is expressed in the glass and the wine free of overt winemaking influences.
