On tour with Etan Smallman
Check out @offpiste4wdtour, the most breathtaking tour of Fleurieu Peninsula, with the most fabulously awesome tour guide!— Etan Smallman (@EtanSmallman) March 17, 2013
Etan Smallman, journalist for UK online newspaper, the Daily Mail recently travelled to South Australia to report on the Fringe and Adelaide Festival. During his visit Etan had the wonderful opportunity to attend a range of shows and hang out at the festival's unique pop up bars including funky, ghetto-themed Barrio during the evenings. Blessed with stunning March weather, Etan also had a couple of days spare to familiarise himself with South Australia's jewel regions including the Barossa and most importantly, the Fleurieu Peninsula. Off Piste 4WD Tours had the privilege to take Etan out for a day that stacked up to be an incredible adventure. Starting with an action packed surfing lesson with Surf & Sun at Middleton Beach we toured to some of the region's pristine spots with views over Kangaroo Island and surrounding countryside via a few favourite 4WD tracks. Nigel Rich from The Elbow Room restaurant packed up his ute and provided us with some delicious cuisine perched up on the property of Samuel's Gorge winery. Tom O'Donnell, assistant winemaker provided us with their range of stunning wines including their Capisce Riesling and the much loved Grenache 2011 label. Overall, a local day that none of us will be forgetting in a hurry! Cheers Etan, hope to see you in South Australia again soon.
